Will I work individually or in a group?

We think cooking is most fun when shared so you can expect to work in a group! We will divide you into groups of 4 (keeping folks together who registered together, of course). If you’re attending with a group on a different reservation, send us a quick email at events@foodlabboulder.com to let us know!

Can I bring beer and wine to drink in class?

We have beer and wine available for purchase during the class. No outside beer or wine can be brought in and consumed in our space.

Are the prices per person?

The prices are always per person. Date nights and all. After all, you can just take yourself to a date night!

Can I schedule a private cooking class for a group?

Absolutely! We love to host groups for private events. Whether it’s a corporate team building event, a group of friends looking to have fun or to celebrate a special occasion, bring your group to Food Lab and enjoy a memorable time together! Contact us to set up.

How far in advance should I book a private event?

We strongly recommend booking your event 2 months in advance in order to secure your date. However, if you’re not a planner and live more spontaneously, you can book an event based on availability at that time.

What if I book a class and then can’t make it?

We hate when this happens… But if you are unable to attend a class that you have booked, you can transfer your spot to someone else. Simply let us know about the situation and provide us with the name of the person who will be taking your place.

What is your refund policy?

If you notify us at least 2 weeks prior to your booked class we can issue a store credit to be applied to another class of your choosing. If you notify us with less than 2 weeks notice, we regret that no credit can be issued. At this point we have committed staff, resources and food planning based on our confirmed bookings.

Will we eat at the table or at the counter?

We will eat at the table for most of our classes but there are some that are eat as you go (tapas, dim sum, small bites, etc) and we’ll stay at the counter! If you have questions about this for a particular class, feel free to reach out before booking.

I’d like to gift a class to a friend, what’s the best way to do that?

Give them a Food Lab gift card! Purchase your gift card online and we will mail it, or stop by and get one. We are located at 1825 Pearl Street, Boulder CO 80302

Are kids allowed to come to the adult classes?

We love having young chefs in the kitchen and we offer children’s cooking classes with a menu geared towards kids tastes and skills. Kids ages 11 and up are welcome to attend our adult classes but they will need their own ticket and these menus are designed for adults. If you have questions about this, please reach out before booking!

Where do I park?

We are located on Pearl Street between 19th and 18th Street. There is paid street parking along Pearl Street, paid parking on 19th Street, and a garage on 15th and Pearl. If you have additional questions about parking, feel free to reach out to events@foodlabboulder.com
